Passau (Bavaria), Germany: Neo-Nazi Activist Buried with Swastika-Flag
About 90 people gathered for the burial of Friedhelm Busse, a well known member of the militant neo-Nazi scene in Germany, who died at an age of 79. Busse had been sentenced to 28 months in prison on grounds of incitement of people and had declared at rallies that “when Germany is free of Jews, we will not need Auschwitz any more.”
During the ceremony, Thomas Wulff, a member and functionary of the right-wing extremist National Democratic Party (NPD), laid the red Nazi-flag with a swastika in its middle, the Reichskriegsflagge used by the Nazis from 1935-45, over the closed casket. The flag has been recovered from the grave. This incident is now being investigated, since the use of this flag is forbidden in Germany. If Wulff is found guilty, he could be sentenced to three years of prison or a fine.
